1. What This Website Is

This private reference site operates independently from every government office. It neither stores official criminal records nor retrieves records, performs official background checks, or submits documents for a user.

Its purpose is to identify the custodians of Carson City records, including the Sheriff’s Office, local court clerks, the Nevada State Police RCCD Records Bureau, and the Nevada Public Sex Offender Registry. Access to government records remains subject to laws such as the Nevada Public Records Act, NRS Chapter 239, and the criminal-history rules in NRS Chapter 179A. Some pages also connect users with outside search tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

As a condition of access, a user must not:

• Use bots, scrapers, or other automated means against the pages
• Attempt unauthorized access to any account, server, or system
• Interfere with site speed, availability, or another visitor’s access
• Use information to stalk, threaten, or harass another person

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No one may use information found here or through a linked service to intimidate, stalk, threaten, harass, or discriminate against another person. Such conduct may also be criminal. This restriction is especially important for Nevada Public Sex Offender Registry data, which is published for safety awareness under Nevada law and remains subject to the registry’s use conditions. It is not provided for vigilantism, employment blacklisting, or housing discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Carson City Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and does not produce a credit report, consumer report, or official background check. Its advertising partners likewise do not provide tools intended to screen applicants, assess rental requests, set insurance rates, or evaluate creditworthiness. Information from the site or any linked tool must not be used to:

• Make any other decision regulated by the FCRA
• Decide eligibility for a license, permit, or government program
• Evaluate creditworthiness or determine an insurance premium
• Screen a renter or housing applicant
• Make a hiring or firing decision

A legally permissible check for one of those purposes must be obtained through an appropriate official channel or an FCRA-compliant screening provider.

5. No Legal Advice

The content is general information, not legal advice. It cannot determine how a Carson City charge, conviction, warrant, or Nevada record-sealing rule affects a particular matter. Individual legal guidance should come from a Nevada-licensed attorney.
